Chatbox Setup

Configure Chatbox to use the platform for chat, translation, and more.

1. Download Chatbox

Get the latest version from chatboxai.app. Available for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.

2. Add a Custom Provider

1. Open Chatbox and go to Settings (bottom-left gear icon).
2. Under AI Provider, select OpenAI API (or Custom API if available).
3. Fill in:
   • API Host / Base URL: http://localhost:3000/api/v1
   • API Key: sk-YOUR_KEY_HERE
   • Model: Enter a model name (e.g., gpt-5.4).
4. Click Save.

3. Start Chatting

Return to the main chat window and start a conversation. You can switch models anytime from the model selector in the chat header.
