Cherry Studio Setup

Connect Cherry Studio to the platform in 3 steps.

1. Download Cherry Studio

Get the latest version from cherry-ai.com. Available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

2. Add a Custom Provider

  1. Open Cherry Studio and go to Settings (gear icon, bottom-left).
  2. Click Add Provider.
  3. Select provider type: OpenAI or OpenAI Compatible.
  4. Fill in the fields:
    • Provider Name: Any label you like (e.g., “My API Proxy”).
    • Base URL: http://localhost:3000/api/v1
    • API Key: sk-YOUR_KEY_HERE
  5. Click Save.

3. Choose a Model and Start Chatting

  1. Go back to the main chat interface.
  2. Select your newly added provider from the model dropdown.
  3. Pick a model (e.g., gpt-5.4) and start chatting.

Tip: If models don’t appear, click Refresh Models in the provider settings, or type the model name manually—Cherry Studio supports any OpenAI-compatible model name.
